由于一篇成人英语三级考试阅读文章通常在250词左右，一个定义可能占几行，这时定义很可能作为考点。阅读时只需圈出被定义的词就行了。定义可以分为以下两种。

(一)篇章定义

与主题有关的篇章定义，理解它有助于做主旨题。
